Save the Jeans!

This is Paul. These are Paul's favorite jeans. Paul's wife wanted him to throw them out. "Too many holes!" she said. Paul brought them to me and asked (begged) me to save them. He brought me 2 bandanas to use as fabric to patch the holes. If you know me, you know this is my FAVORITE kind of project. I love saving people's fav things! First, I fixed a couple of gaping holes in the (ahem) crotch with iron on denim patches that I stitched in place. Then, I used interfacing to stabilize the bandanas and give them more strength. I wanted the jeans to look cool, not just patchy so I used the different colors and varying sizes of bandana pieces. Paul loves them! There's lots of life left in these beloved dungarees! :) Teresa
