  1. And there is a shortage of them! I have to hand pollinate my squash and cucumbers part of the year here in Texas. Not enough bees!

    So, go ahead! Become a keeper!

  3. In retirement I am going to be a beekeeper and my husband will have his organic pear orchard. We need those bees! And chickens - I love those too! Sept is national Chicken and national Honey month :)

    If you take up bee keeping with the same passion, creativity and determination as the “green bag ladying", the world's food supply will be ensured. I say, yes, do it but combine the two projects and form an international coalition of Bagettes and Beegettes! :) You could call it the Green Bag Bee Keeper Lady project.
