Way back in the fall I got a wonderful fabric donation, lots of really fun quilting weight cotton. Included in the donation were many completed and partially done quilt blocks as well as cut pieces for the same quilt. The pieces were too small for bags and I wasn't quilt sure what to do with them at first. Then, it occurred to me that I should just finish the quilt. Around this same time I happened to be chatting with Harmony on the phone and asked her if she was in need of a new quilt for her bed. She answered with a resounding YES! So, over a period of a couple months I finished the queen size quilt, took it to a longarm quilter here in town and finished off the binding. The backing and trim around the sides is Harmony's own vein fabric. It coordinated beautifully with the rest of the fabric. I had the quilter use a circle pattern and it all turned out so lovely.
The funny part is that after the quilt finally got to Harmony she had forgotten all about our conversation. She was so surprised. How fun! These are the photos of the quilt happily at home in Harmony's bedroom. I hear she likes it. :)
Also, Harmony now owns more quilts that I have made than anyone else:
