200th FREEBIE + (almost) 40,000 Bags!!!

Guess what? This is our 200th Freebie on the blog! Aaaaaand, we have now given out almost 40,000 bags!** WHAT? It seems like 2008 was yesterday and I decided to make a few bags out of fabric I had lying around. Flash forward to today…Green Bag Lady now has 10 chapters in the USA and 6 international ones. Crazy, crazy. Never in a million years would I have dreamed we would be here when making those first few bags.

So, thanks to EVERYONE that has helped, especially my Nashville ladies, in particular Bagette April who was the very first person to reach out and offer to help. Thanks April, I love you! :) And, to Bagette Ann who has taken over the Nashville Chapter and has done an incredible job!

To the coordinators of all the other chapters, Bagettes Pat, Jen, Lisa, Liz, Dorene, Dina, Sara, Bell, Barbara, Miranda, Monique, Ingeborg, Linda, Anna, Helen, Jo, Sam, and Rachel, my unwavering THANKS for all that you have done, the many hours you have dedicated to making bags and helping to spread the word! A shout out to Meg, Shanna and Nancy who are forming chapters (updates soon!).

And, who can forget YOU! The people who come to read the blog, enter the freebies and have chosen fabric over plastic/paper time and time again. THANK YOU SO MUCH for making this all possible and being willing to tote our creations everywhere with you and sending us photos to share.

In appreciation, we have 25 bags to give away. Yep, 25!!! I found this great recycle symbol fabric while shopping in California and bought several yards just for this!
