Workday Wednesday

Hey there. I've been knocking out some items on my to do list lately which always feels good.

Photos 1-3) Harmony wanted me to make a pillow cover from a t-shirt for a friend of hers. It's a fun and easy project, just make sure you use interfacing on the knit fabric so it doesn't stretch all over the place when putting in the zipper and sewing the sides. I also made a set of queen sheets with pillow cases out of her Franklin's Tower print organic cotton sateen (yardage available in my etsy shop 😊) for a birthday gift.

Photos 4-5) I whipped out a cute bag to carry our Halloween books for Little Girl (Ellica) when she goes to her nanny job 🖤🧡

Photo 6) I won an award for a new piece I made and entered in Art in the Redwoods. It's from a new series I'm working on called "Life Rules." This piece is called "What Remains-Kyle." Such an honor. 🥰 I'm working on several more in the series too. I'm excited to share them with you in the future.

2 Years

Dear Kyle—

It’s been 2 years since you left this earth. We are still grieving the loss of you from our family, our lives and our hearts. We will never forget your hugs, your laughter, your sweet smile and the special place you held in our family. So many things remind us of you each day, some make us smile and some hit us hard. 

We love you sooooo much—Mom ❤️💔

PS—I’m honored that the online magazine Anthrow Circus has published all the letters I wrote to Kyle (known as Little Man here) in the first year following his passing.

Hey all. I'm sooo sad, my personal Facebook page was hacked and I'm completely locked out. I feel like someone has stolen my scrapbooks and burned them. It's awful. I'm trying everything I can. I still have my Green Bag Lady Instagram with automatically posts to the GBL Facebook page which still seems to be up but I can't access it. Ugh. :(
