What? You've never made a hand bouquet? Seems like time you should! This one was made several weeks ago on a walk with my friend Nicole while visiting our cabin. I was entranced with all the shades of purple we were finding and couldn't stop sticking them in her hand. Such a fun way to celebrate nature. Hoping you have a lovely weekend. I'll be over here exercising my hand and wrist to keep getting stronger each day. I can even type with both hands now. Hugs to all--Teresa
Of Course
If you have been a reader here for a while, it will not surprise you to see that I took my ugly brace and embroidered some bling on it today! It was good therapy for my hand dexterity too. I went to the doc on Monday and got the hard cast taken off and now need to wear this for at least a month. If I have to wear something for 30 days straight, it better be cute. "Those French knots really make my wrist brace pop!" said no one until today. Ha! XOXO--Teresa
Bag #02
Thought you might like to see Bag #02. I just found this girl in my sewing room hanging out. Literally, on a door knob. I remember making her from samples I had gotten after stopping at a local fabric shop and explaining what I was doing. They didn't give me much material but I did get a few cast offs from the back room. I know I have Bag #01 around here somewhere too. That one belongs to hubby, I'll try to dig it up. We are now over 175,000 bags given away world-wide. Humble beginnings when I thought I would make 100 and stop! Have a great week--Teresa
Photo Finish Friday
This photo popped up in my camera. Obviously it was taken by mistake but it works for me. It sums up my week, kinda hazy, kinda nostalgic, kinda weird. I'm hanging in with the broken wrist but doing everything one handed is getting old. :( I go to the doc on Monday and am hoping for a different splint that I can take off when I shower at least. Friends are taking me out for dinner tonight. I also have coffee with peeps tomorrow morning and a massage later. Things to look forward to! XOXO--Teresa
UPDATE: Maine Chapter
THIS! This is wonderful! Way to go Bagette Barbara, spreading the fabric bag message to so many people. What a fun day at a lovely farmers market! Keep up the great work Barbara and I hope people follow up with you too! :) Teresa
Hi Teresa.
Also, some folks expressed interest in helping make bags and/or donating fabric. I’ll see if anyone follows up with me. Enjoy!
Photo Finish Friday
I'm hanging in over here. A few friends have stepped in to help me get the 3 wedding dresses altered that I had here. We are closing in on finishing them, thank goodness! I just spent a couple of hours cutting out fabric for pouches. At least I can be a little productive. Next up is several baskets of laundry to "fold" to the best of my ability. I hope you have more exciting plans for the weekend. Pretty view from my deck this week. Cheers--Teresa
Update
I'm plugging along over here I have limited use of my left hand. I can sew a little and managing to get etsy orders out despite it taking me twice as long to do anything. I go back to doc on Monday to get this cast off and a different type of splint and will start physical therapy. Good times. Grateful for what I can get done and for Big Girl here cooking yummy dinners! XOXO--Teresa
Photo Finish Friday (delayed)
Well. It’s been a week here. I fell on the tennis court during a match on Wednesday and managed to fracture my left wrist. Ugh. I had surgery yesterday and didn’t do well with the anesthesia. I think it actually gave me a migraine. Needless to say I was in bed and miserable all day.😞 Feeling much better today. Here’s a photo of my now bionic wrist! Teresa
The Netherlands Bag in London!
This is awesome! I love that I can tell that Bagette Dad wrote the number on this bag. It would have been his 83rd birthday this last Saturday and these little things keep his legacy alive. Happy travels Bagette Ingeborg!!!! Teresa
Teresa—Photo Finish Friday
This little guy was hovering around drinking from my Fuchsia plants and it made me SO happy. Look how adorable! I have 4 hanging baskets of Fuchsia on my back deck and I adore them. The colors are amazing and I love how they burst out of their pink pods. We are enjoying some mountain air this weekend and soaking it all in. Wishing a lovely weekend for you too! :) Teresa
