Hi Teresa.

The Maine Chapter of the Green Bag Lady has been meeting regularly at the Common Good Soup Kitchen in Southwest Harbor, Maine and having a blast!
Here's a photo of Bagettes Pat, Barbara, & Julie tasting soup prepared by Chef Jay. Yum!
Bagette Pam took one of our GBL bags to France and had a photo taken in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Ooo la la.
Bagette Barbara took a GBL bag to Washington, DC and had a photo taken in front of Abraham Linccoln at the Lincoln Memorial.
We have a new Maine bagette. Santa came down from the North Pole to help with the GBL Project since he is not very busy at this time of the year. Here's a photo of him holding a child size GBL bag. Go Santa!
We received a fun and unique donation of sailcloth. Here's a photo of Bagette Julie cutting it to size.
We received a donation of an ironing board too! Here's a photo of it. Now, I don't need to lug mine to our meetings. Yay!

Happy Summer!

Bags❤️πŸ€πŸ’™

I spent a bit of yesterday finishing off these festive bags for my cabin HOA meeting that is just after the 4th of July. Who doesn’t love a little red, white and blue? That butterfly fabric tho! And Snoopy! ❤️πŸ€πŸ’™ Teresa

Wow, this week sure got away from me. Lots of sewing, tennis and The Rolling Stones concert on Thursday night. Tonight is pizza with neighbors cooked in their wood burning oven that is out of this world amazing. Photo is from a walk last night with hubby. Construction work is being done at the local school and these does decided the gravel mound was their new home. πŸ˜‚ Cheers to the weekend! TeresaπŸ˜ŠπŸ•πŸŽΈπŸŽΆ❤️

Yes, it’s Sunday. Ha ha. Hubby and I hopped a plane Friday to visit Big Girl in Bozeman, MT while she was on a brief break from her director job at Girl Scout camp this summer. So great to see her thriving and enjoying outdoor beauty this summer. We did 2 hikes to gorgeous waterfalls, ate some yummy food and even found a good deals at a cool thrift store. Hope you’ve had a fun weekend too! XOXO—Teresa

Hello Friday! I’ve been a busy bee in my sewing room playing catch up. I’m happy to report that many items of clothing went back out the door this week. Feels so good to get things done. Of course, I still have a pile of things calling my name so I’m off to hem pants, work on a wedding dress and add buttons to shams and a duvet cover. Enjoy this photo of Steamboat Lake from last weekend. Happy weekend to all! Teresa 🐝❤️πŸ’™⛰️☁️

Workday Wednesday

Last weekend, my friend and former student, Jen, came to visit. She had given me some of her father's ties after he passed away and was hoping I would make pillow covers out of them. Well, it didn't get done until she came to supervise me actually doing it (ha ha) but it was great because she got to decide the design, placement of colors, etc. She even picked out one of the vintage fabrics from my stash to go on the back and it blended perfectly. Such a fun project and they turned out great!

We also went on a hike to Steamboat Lake, then hubby took us on a boat ride and we even were treated to a late afternoon rainbow. Such a fun visit. Thanks for coming Jen! :) Teresa

UPDATE: New Zealand Chapter

Look at all these amazing bags that Bagette Olive and her team have been making in New Zealand! Such creativity, I love it! I'm sure all of these bags will be appreciated far and wide for their usefulness, how sturdy they are and the pretty fabric to boot! :) Great job Olive, Cathy and everyone sewing in New Zealand, keep up the excellent work in your community! Teresa

Hi Teresa--

I made a gifts for my knitting friends at Christmas.  Much nicer than a plastic bag!

NZ is into cold weather now. Sewing time! Cathy and I have made more bags! Cathy has sewn 20 drawstring toiletry bags which will be used at Christmas for gifts to needy community people.

I've made another 17 library bags which will go to the community library in Palmerston North area. We make all different sizes so we don't waste fabric, I've even made a few small library bags for preschool kids.

Kind regards
Olive Ruby
