Teaching a kid to sew. . .

Over the weekend my little girl wanted to "sew with mom." I got out a pattern that is actually a pin cushion but we are pretending that it is a stuffed animal. She chose all the fabric from the scrap bin and we cut them out. I did the machine sewing and then she did the final hand sewing. Not bad for a first attempt. The turtle now graces a pillow with the happy little girl. We are still very rainy here. Sewing is such a great rain activity. Teresa
