Alabama Chanin

Hi Teresa,
I just wanted to write and say thanks again for the beautiful bags! They were a huge hit at our weekend workshop. We had guests from all over this time around, about ten of us in all….but it seemed like a full house. I suppose when you get any number of ladies around a table swapping stories and laughing it feels like a bit of a party. One guest, who made the journey from Guadalajara, got hassled by customs because they refused to believe there was any sort of fashion industry in Florence, Alabama. I guess it is a little hard to believe- but we are alive and well in Northern Alabama!

There was quite an array of project undertakings; these were some gutsy ladies who took on some of the most beautiful and intricate appliqué patterns we offer. I’m sure they were all very thankful to have amazing bags to hold their unfinished garments. Again, thank you for your generosity; we’re looking forward to the upcoming blog interview!
Best,

June Flowers-Stedman and all of us @ Alabama Chanin

This is a follow up from this post about Natalie Chanin. Natalie hosts Alabama Studio Weekend Workshops @ The Factory in Florence, Alabama. She also does one day events all over the country. To see the complete schedule go here. If you can attend one of the workshops, I HIGHLY recommend it. It is worth every penny, Natalie is an absolute doll! Teresa

PS, All the bags that I sent for the above workshop were made with vintage fabric or from my FABULOUS sponsors, Amy Butler, Harmony Art Organic and Les Indiennes Organic.
