On the radio in Puerto Williams…

What do you do when you are in a foreign country and don't speak the language very well? Do a radio interview of course. Oh my! Yes, if you happen to live here in Puerto Williams you could catch yours truly this morning on a 5 minute interview at the local radio station. Let me tell you, I yanked EVERY word out of my High School Español brain. It was not pretty. Fortunately, the interviewer spoke a little english and knew about Green Bag Lady from Diego so he could be more eloquent than I…

Mi amigo nuevo Diego con el bulsa…
 Radio interview…
We gave out 5 bags on air. The phones were ringing as I left…
Robert at the Marine Museum in town with whale bones…
 The Sea Dragon…
 Lunch, cheese omelette, yum!
We are supposed to board the boat tonight. I already hauled the dinosaur duffel bag down 1/2 mile to the dock. Good thing it has wheels and there were some sidewalks. None of the streets are paved here, pretty dusty and rocky. I am waiting to haul the rest of my stuff when we find out the scoop. I am not keen to leave my cameras at the dock. Teresa

PS--Good thing that interview was in spanish, I took one quarter of french in college and all I can remember is, "I brush my teeth with Crest." Whew.

Go GBL! Love that you take photos of what you eat. I always do that too. You'll have to impress us with your language skills when you come back!
