Organic Evelyn (I mean '11 #5) FREEBIE!

Bagette Dad LOVES his La-Z-Boy recliner. To a kind of scary degree. Really. I decided that since he spends so much time in said recliner that it should have a cover that could be taken off and washed from time to time. Harmony was kind enough to donate the fabric for this cause. To make a long story short, I was going to have my fabulous slip cover lady here in Nashville (who even made covers for Harmony's couch!) make TWO covers, one for dad's chair and one for the chair at my house.

But, we decided that only one cover was necessary (too long of a story) and I ended up with some of Harmony's Evelyn and Janette that was already cut but was not going to live the dream and become a chair cover. SO, what to do with cut fabric? Make bags, of course, and YOU get to benefit.

I have 12 of these lovely Evelyn and Janette Green Bag Lady bags up for grabs. This is one of my favorite Harmony fabrics. The design is scrumptious and the weight is a nice twill, perfect for bags.
 Aren't they pretty?

Here is what you need to do to win an Evelyn and Janette Organic Cotton bag:

•LEAVE A COMMENT, IN THE COMMENT LEAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IN THIS FORMAT: name(at)something(dot)com it is important to spell out dot and at so you don't get spam, if you DO NOT leave an email address, we will not hunt you down to send you a freebie, thanks.

I'd make 2 yards into a tablecloth, for sure! Which would be so fitting...since I'm pretty sure that our table actually once belonged to either Janette or Evelyn! This fabric is one of my HarmonyArt faves! The weight is wonderful.

2 yards of this gorgeous fabric, love the maroon color. I could make curtians in my living room, a quilt or even pillow covers. Oh wait, I need a shower curtian in the bathroom.
Love the print!

Very pretty! I would make a set of curtains for my grandma's door and the side window. Then probably make bags and gift bags with whatever is left.

2 yards of fabric? That would be awesome! I would use it to make a runner for the table (it's a BIG table), 8 placemats, napkins and aprons with my 2 daughters.

I would attempt to make a skirt out of the fabric and maybe a matching little dress for my daughter. I'm pretty handy but my ventures into clothing creation are still limited. If all else fails I could stick with my safety net and make bags to give away! I get such a kick out of peoples faces when I hand them a bag with a smile. They always look so surprised and slightly scared. Thanks for the 13 opportunities!

Synchronicity? Cosmic alignment? Only yesterday I came to the disappointing conclusion (with back-up sanity check from a few others) that E&J for my window seat does not work as I had hoped with the rug adjacent. No other place to put said troublesome rug. Instead, I'll use the HarmonyArt unbleached denim. Then, E&J would make *fantastic* throw pillows for this very-long-window-seat! All HarmonyArt. All over the house. That's the goal.

I would have my mother-in-law (because I can't sew) make me a window cushion for our bay window so people will stop leaving things there instead of putting them away. Then I would use any additional fabric to make place mats and a table runner for our table.

I am a lover of fabric - i would love to have the two yards and what I would do with this is:
Make a yarn bag (s) for my crochet friend who just helped me complete a flower using crochet thread and a with the rest of the material a couple of matching 10" pillows for her craft room couch. We meet on Wednesday nights to share help each other and just get out. I also like to make the little tissue pack holders you know the kind you keep in your purse. Well I sew those up and give them for gifts through out the year - so I could make a coordinated one to go with the yarn bags.

Although I would like the 2 yards of fabric to make a lovely tablecloth, or give it a second chance as a slip-cover . . . actually
I would be very happy just to have one of the bags.
Go ahead, make my day :)

This is a no brainer! I would make bags! What a perfect way to make others WANT to shop with reusable bags. Just think how envious people would be of me with my stylish grocery & shopping bags!! A perfect conversation starter & a way to pass the word! Those reusable ones they sell at the stores for .99 are a start, but they are easily ripped. These would be amazing! Thanks!

I would love a bag out of this Harmony Fabric. What I would do with 2 yards, I think it will be my new table cloth for the kitchen table. The colors will go perfectly and I don't think I would have the heart to cut it up.

I think it will be cool to make car seat covers with it. My corolla is red so the pattern is perfect and a match. I also think it is great to make cover for huge pillows for living room. I like laying on the floor and to sit on the floor. Extra size pillows like dog bed is great to have on the floor. Juniaty200(at)yahoo(dot)com

I love that fabric! It pops up on Etsy sometimes and I always vow to get something with it. :) I actually think the bags were a great use for it, but pillowcases or a skirt would be great too. Honestly though, I have no time to sew right now, so I'd adore a bag but the fabric should go to someone else. ;)
