Ship's Log Day 2 March 6, 2011

Sorry for the delay everyone, I am having trouble sending photos!
Day 2 started at 4am. Yup. I got up, clothes on, and out of deck to find it dark and sprinkling. Not bad. For about 1/2 hour. It wasn't long and we were in the midst of a storm that rocked the boat like a roller coaster. We couldn't see anything so had to rely on the instruments to keep us on track. Crazy! I was fine until I went below and was really hot and the rocking got to me. I am proud to say I was the first one to get sick! Quite an accomplishment!
As you can see from the photo that we were all snug in the cove with a glacier looking upon us for the night. Beautiful. I can't believe we woke up to a completely different scenario! The ocean changes from minute to minute and you have to be ready for it. We are working our way up to the Magellan Straight.

All is well! Teresa

P.S. I think this photo belongs to Day 3. I got it twice.
Bagette Dad.

Thanks Bagette Dad for posting these! I think when she gets home we may have to call her Captain Bag Lady.
