I have to admit…

…that sometimes plastic is really fun. Remember Shrinky Dinks? I loved them as a kid and would be enthralled with them for hours. Apparently, I have not outgrown them. Big Girl was cleaning out her room and came across this book from who knows when. I think my mother gave it to her which would make it at least 6-7 years old. She was going to donate it to a garage sale but I had to rescue it from the pile. I mean c'mon, Shrinky Dinks!

So, Monday afternoon this kids and I went crazy and made a bunch of them, some for charm bracelets, some for friends, some for fun, etc. The kids have been wearing them ever since and Big Girl made necklaces for all her friends at cheerleading camp and they loved them! Yay! We also found out that Michael's sells refills for the book.
I used my toaster oven set to 330 degreed so we could really watch them shrink…

My kids and I did quite a few Shrinky Dinks back in the day. So glad to see that kids still enjoy the fun!

Becky, I think I may have even been slightly obsessed with them!
