Finally…Colorado…

Great Sand Dunes National Park was truly breathtaking. We all loved it. I mean, who wouldn't love one HUGE beach?
We climbed a few of the dunes, some were 750 feet tall. We did not climb those. Way too hot for that.
The kids tried to slide down them on cardboard. Little Man even tried to run and jump. He didn't make it very far. It made us feel better that even the people that brought sleds were not having any luck either…
The sheer beauty is amazing. I can't believe these huge desert like dunes are just sitting in the middle of Colorado. I would have never believed it had I not seen it…
After the dunes and lunch we hiked up to Zapata Falls
 Lovely!
 Family photo…
Walking back out from the falls…
The site on our drive out. Just beautiful country!
It's dry here though, we are keeping lots of lotion handy! Teresa

PS--I will post more in the coming days about Colorado. The internet at the last hotel we were at was in and out. ugh.
