This last road trip gave me hope for the future. Take a look…
Body Wash, Conditioner and Shampoo dispensers in the Hyatt Place shower. YES! No tiny plastic bottles to waste after one use. This made me SO very happy. Thanks Hyatt! I truly hope this becomes a trend.
Then, we drove through a HUGE wind farm in Illinois…And in Minnesota…

I've stayed in a couple hotels with ecologically sound practices like this. Soap dispensers instead of bars, water they provided for us in re-usable glass bottles, etc.
Also, was just in Minnesota and Iowa visiting family and saw all these windmills, too. And learned about new watershed practices they are doing to help protect the lake in my home town. Protection from run-off effects. Interesting.
Ohhh, I'm very intrigued by the re-usable glass water bottles! Yay!
The windmills are quite spellbinding! I look forward to seeing them again on the way back!
Oh I really like those dispensers. We live in the Nashville Tn. area and try to be as eco friendly as we can. I make my own bags also and carry them with me in the car. We lived in California for a few years and my husband got me some burlap coffee bags from the docks around San Francisco and I even made some bags from them. I think what you are doing is wonderful and I know it has made such a difference. What a Blessed thing you are doing!!
Alicia, Green Bag Lady is based in Nashville too. Maybe we will meet you sometime!
