In my next life, I want to be a bee keeper. My husband thinks I'm nuts. We would not have my favorite nuts without the little guys! Read more HERE. Teresa
In retirement I am going to be a beekeeper and my husband will have his organic pear orchard. We need those bees! And chickens - I love those too! Sept is national Chicken and national Honey month :)
If you take up bee keeping with the same passion, creativity and determination as the “green bag ladying", the world's food supply will be ensured. I say, yes, do it but combine the two projects and form an international coalition of Bagettes and Beegettes! :) You could call it the Green Bag Bee Keeper Lady project.
Hugs, Funny Girl Gaia
P.S. I respectfully disagree with your husband regarding the state of your mental health...

And there is a shortage of them! I have to hand pollinate my squash and cucumbers part of the year here in Texas. Not enough bees!
So, go ahead! Become a keeper!
(I want chickens. Just two or four. My husband thinks I'm nuts...)
If we lived closer I would suggest we have a bee keeping /chicken operation together! I would love to do both! :)
