Well...I used to love chocolate chip cookies, 7 layer shortbread cookies (alternating vanilla/chocolate shortbread layers), thumbprint butter cookies with jam in the center...so many great cookies....but I've developed a dairy allergy, so I've got to redo the recipes to be dairy free...

My favourite nibble at this time of year is the good old fruit mince pie. I love your bags and got to tell you that I've also made some and given them to friends for shopping with the request that they no longer use plastic bags. An insulated shopping bag for the cold stuff is a brilliant idea though.

My favorite holiday cookie is a family tradition we call Forgotten Cookies. Basically meringue with chocolate chips and nuts in them. Put them in a preheated oven, turn the oven off and forget about them! When the oven is cool they are ready to come out! Very yummy!

My grandmother made a bar cookie from The Joy of Cooking that had ground pecans on a shortbread crust and a lemon glaze. I bought a 1950's version of the cookbook, found the recipe and have served them at Christmas ever since. Yum!!
