And, I love to drink water out of glass. Not a big fan of drinking out of plastic or metal. I love glass. I need to get one of these water bottles I have been admiring. But, I have so many metal ones that I just can't bring myself to make the purchase. Being on crutches has proved to be a challenge. Carrying a glass of water is a no go. Even putting it in the basket of my cart to wheel it around is a no go. So, I have been depending on the kindness of others to bring me my beloved glasses of water.
Then, hubby and kids went out of town for a few days. Yikes! The worst part was not having my glasses of water. I missed asking my kids to run to the kitchen and fetch my glass. I finally resigned myself to the fact that I would use one of the metal water bottles. I opened the cupboard and spied the Ball Jar above. Yes! This was it! I can drink out of glass, put the lid on and wheel it around in my basket! I also love that is is SO big and holds 24 oz. of water. Don't tell my husband, but I think I might keep using it after I'm off crutches! Teresa
P.S. I am a pisces after all.
P.P.S. Are pisces also predisposed to dark chocolate? Hmm.
BTW, I love this idea! Except, I would use metal straws instead.

I have a plastic mason jar which I driled a half inch hole in. It holds my glass straws perfectly and was super quick.
You might also consider the travel mug tops for mason jars - pieces that replace the seal (you still use the ring) to make them like a travel mug. I have a couple of brands and quite like them.
I completely agree with you!!! H2O is the BEST drink on the planet.

Hi GBL! I totally agree about drinking water (but I'll also take a little wine too!). Plain water plus plain glass is the best. I agree with Harmony. I would love to bring you a glass of water. Please get well soon. When do you get rid of the cast?
