Second Hand

My girls have never minded hand-me-downs. I always thought this was strange because I was not a big fan of getting clothes from my older sister. They tell me they like how soft and worn the clothes are when someone else has broken them in. Good point. I guess it should come as no surprise that one of their very favorite stores is Plato's Closet. They love to save up their babysitting money and go there. It is amazing how many cute things they find.

Last Saturday I got to have Little Girl all to myself! We did some errands, went to church and out to eat. Such a nice date. I rarely get to have days with just her. One of the things we did was some back- to-school shopping. Her new junior high school has a stricter dress code. Shorts have to be below their fingertips, no spaghetti straps, etc. She has also outgrown a lot of clothes lately (getting tall!). So, we went to Plato's Closet. We ended up getting 2 skirts, 4 pairs of shorts, 1 pair of jeans, 1 sweater, 4 shirts and a soft jersey blazer for a total of 13 pieces. And, we only spent $84. What?
How cute are those floral jeans?
And this little blazer?
And this whole outfit?
Little Girl is jumping for joy over all her "new" school clothes!
I have never had much luck with clothes at Good Will but sometimes find kitchen items or furniture there. How about you? Do you shop at second hand stores? Any luck? I know that Bagette Marianne is a huge thrifter, especially with Pyrex! Teresa

And since I spend so much time hunting for Pyrex in thrift stores baggette Marianne definitely does have a ton of thrift store clothes that she just can't resist when thrifting for kitchenware and sewing machines!
