Short Upcycle

Little Man had a pair of Old Navy shorts that he really liked and wore a lot. So much so that the back end got a hole in them. I give away all of my kids' clothes that are too small. Of course, I can't do that with holey clothes. Instead they become pet bed stuffing…
But, there were 2 pockets on these shorts that were in perfect shape. The velcro still worked well and it seemed a shame to get rid of them. I cut them off the shorts and set them aside until I figured out what to do with them.
After making all the pouches for Little Girl's friends, lightening struck. I could make a cool pouch out of the pockets!
I used some camo fabric for the inside…
When I showed it to Little Man, he thought it needed a strap, easy enough…
He has lots of plans for this little pouch, I've been hearing all about them! Teresa

Very neat! Now I know what to do with a bunch of pockets that I just couldn't throw out after cutting up jeans for denim quilts. Thanks for the inspiration.
