I have wrapped presents in fabric bags for many years. I made these several years ago and they are still in use. I would hope they get used for decades. BUT, in using them to wrap presents it is far too easy for my kids to figure out what their gifts are by simply squishing the fabric around. ARG! After the first year, I told them they were not allowed to touch the presents. Humph, no fun.
This year, I got smart. I have been saving tons of little boxes. I put the gifts in the boxes first with a rubber band around them (no tape needed!)…
And then put them in the fabric bags…
Now they can have at it! Shake them all they want.
Do you think it was mean that I also put paper and bubble wrap in the boxes so they don't rattle??? Teresa

I think it is very smart to use whatever you have to disguise the contents. I love the idea of cloth bags for wrapping also.
I don't think it was mean at all! Your tree is beautiful! I love where you decided to put it. It's very festive with the stairs and the great bags!
Father Christmas (Santa Claus) does so. is gifts in a bag
Thanks Marie. I've been doing it for so long that my kids get excited if they get a package in paper that they actually get to rip open!
Thanks Tami! :)
Yes! That is true Nadezhda that Santa Claus does have everything in a big fabric bag! I love that connection. :)
Wow!
It's much more fun than wrapping paper and by far much more usable!
Now this idea of your fabric bags being used to wrap Christmas presents in is just such a fantastic idea. Just love it indeed. Thank you for being a part of the SMS Giveaway and sharing with me again this wrapping presents in fabric bags. These fabric bags can be recycled and can be taken with you while shopping. Wishing you Happy Holidays.
