Big Kids

I hosted a group of "big kids" from the University of Minnesota yesterday. They are here on spring break doing service hours with environmental groups. I was honored they came to help with Green Bag Lady while they were here! They made LOTS of pet beds which was a task that kept getting shoved to the bottom of my to do list.
A couple of them tackled my overflowing handle bin…
Neil is the fearless group leader…
Many of them knew how to sew (yay!) and stitched up the holes after stuffing the beds…

They all picked out a couple Green Bag Lady bags to take home and use…
 Some of the completed beds…
 What a great group!
I fed them lunch and homemade chocolate chip cookies (had to spoil them) and sent them on their way to hike at Red Rocks Amphitheater. They were all so sweet and helpful and worked hard the entire time. We ended up getting 11 pet beds completed as well as 1/2 the handle bin finished. Yippeee! Thanks Neil and the entire group of students from the University of Minnesota--Teresa
