Please be patient. . .

I have literally been receiving hundreds of emails. I will get back to all of you in time (maybe a week or more), I promise, just be patient with this bewildered artist. I had no idea an art project would find so much interest.

It will take me quite some time (many many weeks at this point) to fulfill the requests I have been getting. PLEASE do not let that deter you from switching to fabric TODAY. Many stores now have bags for less than a dollar. If you consider the environmental impact of no longer using plastic OR paper, this is a BARGAIN. OR, what about those old backpacks/tote bags/diaper bags that are hanging out in the closet or basement. Those would make great shopping bags too and you already own them!

PLEASE start making your own bags, click on the link to the RIGHT for a FREE downloadable pattern!

I love this blogsite ! I have just found out about it last night on my local news.I live in Northeast Wis.about37 miles north of Green Bay. I have just requested my free bag and pattern so I can make some for friends and family here.I have been using the "GREEN BAGS" that I purchased at my local Woodmans foods and I dont have to answer"paper or plastic" anymore..lol,They hold so much more groceries and other store"stuff".I just hope that others will use more cloth bags too.I used to forget to take them with me when I shop but I have a system now...(memory isnt what it used to be..lol)..I have to go thru my laundy room to get to the garage and to get to the door leading outside so now when Im finished putting away my groceries,I put them right on the top of the dryer!!!! lol..now I dont forget them. I think this is a great site, love to hear from others in the area about places for organic and natural veggies in this area too.(We love Whole foods in Milwaukee but the price of gas..dont get me started )everyone should email them to build a store here in N.E. Wis !!! thanks all..have a good weekend,Rose

Sorry - not sure how to contact you and do not have an eight year old at home to help me. I would LOVE to be on your bag list but would be content with the pattern which, by the way, I can share with the hundred or so ladies in my quilters guild. Many thanks - Sue Ferrence ( sferrence@hotmail.com )

I'm so excited about this project. I can not sew, I can't even BEGIN to sew, but I can share the pattern with everyone I know. I'm part of a large chat group of women called www.babytalkbio.com and we have posted this on the site. Also, I have sent you an email and I know you are busy, but I have fabric to donate to you so when you get to my name we can work that out!

Thanks(and can't wait for my bag!),

As a mother of a 3 1/2 year old and a 4 month old with special needs, I don't see much sewing time in the near future. I did however add the pattern to my list of favorites and look forward to receiving my green bag!!! I will also be sharing this with many, many others "green ladies"!!

Hi what a great service you are doing. If I had a sewing machine I could turn out dozens of these for family and friends. I admittedly have amassed a large reusable grocery bag collection. I buy them from grocery stores, dollar stores and acquired 2 from my local drug store that double as cooler bags and they were only 99 cents each! I'd love one of your bags to add to my collection. But listen you're really busy so if you can't it's cool. I'm gonna get a sewing machine for christmas this year or the hubby will get coal in his stocking.lol. Marlene(m.mcdonald123@rogers.com)

Thanks for posting the pattern but I am having a problem printing it out. Is there something I need to adjust so the I get the whole pattern? No matter what I try I get half of the instructions. I'm not very computer~savvy. Thanks for the info. :)

I'm not sure about why the pattern would not print out completely, I have a feeling it might have to do with the direction you have the paper on your printer setting. It should be on horizontal and not vertical.

You are awesome! And I think, a little crazy, right? I have quite the collection of green bags in the back of my car...and I am getting better at remembering to take them into the store with me!
