My helpers and I have now had 3 sessions of cutting out bags. I think the best part is going through the fabric and eyeing all the interesting designs, colors and eras. Much of the fabric that is donated is unwanted from days gone by. I love this. I know these piles of fabric would have no other life than to become a bag. The colors are not in style, the patterns too 70's, 80's, etc. In many ways, it is sad that it never saw its potential in its heyday. Well, now it will. My team and I are breathing life into all this sad fabric and sending it to you to be used and loved. We have a great time chatting and laughing while cutting.
Sew, go breathe some life into that sewing machine in the back of your closet, the planet will love you for it!
