I get things from all over, mostly fabric, but there are other things thrown in too. Remember James and the Giant Donation? Those bins were from his mother's house and she had passed away. Most of it was fabric, but there were other goodies in there too. String, zippers, buttons, cookie cutters, dye, wax, anything art related that you can imagine. It was fun, and I am happy to report, I found everything a home.
On to 2 weeks ago when Bagette April and I went fabric shopping on a Friday. What? You don't think we shop for fabric? Truth be told, we do not NEED any, but it is fun to look and imagine that we are excellent quilters and such. I have only made one quilt, still not bound, I am waiting for Bagette Kathleen to do it for me. I'm still waiting. Bagette Kathleen, are you reading this?
April and I stopped at the sewing machine store for serger blades, I go through many of these, more than anyone else, so many that when I called a store in Kentucky to ask if they had any the guy on the line said, "Are you the Green Bag Lady?" I dropped the phone. The lovely Lori at the machine shop had 5 boxes of fabric one of her customers gave her. Cute vintage flannel, some fabric big enough for bags, but the BEST part was finding this gem in the bottom of the box. . . oooweeee, hello 1987! The year I graduated from High School. . .
I had the yellow dress in blue. . .
I had the hair on the right. . .
Bagette April had the turquoise belt, hers was black. . .
It's a good thing Coca-Cola made clothing, where would be without it?
My mom had this whole set. . .
I want to buy my husband ALL of these outfits, anyone know where I can get them???Have a lovely blast from the past, more tomorrow. Teresa
