Little Man Sews…

Every time Little Man would walk in the sewing room he would gaze longingly at the machines. Occasionally he would ask when he would get to learn to sew. This would get more urgent when his sisters would sew. I finally gave in and let him stitch lines on a piece of paper on the slowest setting the machine would allow. He had a ball!
After a couple of days of making multiple things with his new skill, he decided to try hand stitching too…
He is so proud of all his creations…
It was his idea to make the red, while and blue star…
This is my favorite, and the first thing he worked on after the paper stitching. Isn't this a wonderful jelly fish? He told me today, "Mom, even though I'm a boy, I really like to sew." I told him that all boys should at least know how to sew on a button (ahem, dear Hubby) and that a lot of men know how to sew.
I hope you had a lovely weekend! Stay tuned for a freebie this week! Teresa

So glad Little Man has discovered the joy of sewing!!! My son learned to sew by hand when he was about four, but never by machine. He's quite capable of sewing on a button...

Thanks for the great comments everyone. :) I'll let him know!

@ Maple Creek, I bought this machine specifically for my kids at Overstock.com, one of the main features I wanted was the speed control. It can so REALLY fast too so it is nice that is is able to slow down!
