Rhode Island Bag!

Teresa,

Thank you for the beautiful bag, I loved the colors and fabrics you used. I decided to make it into a gift bag for my Daughter-in-law by putting her gifts in the bag and also, the bag was a present to her.I love the idea and plan on trying to make my own bags this year and love the idea of gifting them, so I will print out your pattern and try some.

Attaching a photo of my DIL with her bag.

Thank you again,
Debbie

Thank you for the great photo Debbie! We are a bit late in posting this from Dec of 2012. This is one that got lost in the forwarding problem! Teresa

That is very sweet of you to gift your Daughter-in-law with your bag. They do make wonderful gifts for other family members. I have done the same thing! Good luck to you.

I think it is a wonderful thing that you are doing and I was thinking, I need to make some guy bags. My husband does most of the shopping, so it would be fun to design some that he would use.

Debbie--

Yes, great idea! We try very hard to make "guy bags" when we are sewing. We love the fun and colorful fabrics that are donated, but realize that men do not want floral shopping bags! We use the solid colors with plain handles and make sure our guy recipients get those!

Thanks for your comment, happy sewing! Teresa
