Workday Wednesday

At least the big plastic bag is gone from my house now…
I finished this for my friend, I'll show you the whole thing later…
I still have been sewing bags (of course)…
 Cacti painting (meh, it's alright)…
There are perks to hotel living…
What are you working on? I hope you are having a lovely week! Teresa

Is this a brand new house, or, a major remodel? How much longer before you get to go home to it?
Must be hard to live in a hotel. I like it for a night or two, then it is time to go home.
Good luck and I love your artwork. You are very talented.

The house looks more like your house without that plastic all over it! I wonder if it is already on the next house? I like your Cacti painting. Glad you are enjoying the pool!

Marie, Tami and Lori--

Thank you for your comments. To answer, we had 2 severe hail storms in my area this past summer. My old roof was cedar shake and put on in the 90s, it was ruined, my windows and siding also got the brunt of the storm. Then, because this damage was not immediately fixed (due to waiting for the insurance adjuster) we had flooding on the inside. We had a ton of rain last summer in this area which is highly unusual. SO, we are getting a new roof, new windows, new siding, gutters and all that. Then on the inside they ripped up my hardwood (that buckled due to the water) floor on the main level and found mold, therefor, new hardwoods, paint and drywall since there was some mold in the walls. The way my house is laid out they basically have to paint it all because all the rooms are connected.

The worst part is that we moved in in June and had it repainted before we moved in AND had new hardwoods put in and had them refinished. All that work/money is now a waste. It makes me sick. It is SO hard to watch them rip out the hardwood that has only been in the house for 7 months! ARG!

On the upside, I got to pick out the new hardwoods and I LOVE them, more than what was in there so that is great. :) Otherwise, except for the color of the outside (switching from tan to grey) it will pretty much look the same. I have all white paint on the interior and it will still be that way. The basement might look a little different though, new paint and carpet down there because we had some flooding/water down there too.

We will most likely be in the hotel through the 17th of March. I hope St. Patrick's Day is truly LUCKY this year and we will get to move back home! Wish us luck!

Thank you so much for all your concern and kind words. It means a lot to me. Maybe I need to do a watercolor freebie and move out some of these practice paintings! :)

Hugs to all of you--Teresa
