Do you remember my Bagettes in Tennesse? The memories of them conjure such a depth of love and appreciation I can not begin to describe. And, they are still going strong, making bags, doing events, warming my heart. Thanks ladies!
But, it has been fun to gather, laugh and eat chocolate with a new group of ladies here in Colorado. First off there is Barbara. She has been a Bagette for FOUR years now. First in Tennessee, now HERE. I just love that we are still friends in a different part of the country. Barbara moved to the Boulder area of Colorado about one year before I did. I'm so lucky that she was willing to help out with the project again here! She drives over an hour to come to the Sunday meetings. I heart you Barbara!
Then, there is Tami. She emailed me almost immediately when she found out I was moving to Colorado and offered to be a Bagette. Of course I said YES! She is the sweetest soul you can imagine and has mad quilting skills! (she has a fun blog here)On the left is Elisa whom I met in North Carolina (first photo). When she showed up at my house for her first Sunday meeting we discovered that our daughters were good friends! What are the odds to meet someone 1/2 way across the country only to find that they live down the road and our daughters are friends. Fate!
On the right is Marianne, Tami helped to bring her into the group. She is from Australia, has a fabulous accent and I could listen to her laugh all day. She also loves chocolate which automatically makes her one of my own. Marianne is obsessed with vintage sewing machines and collecting vintage pyrex. She has blogs documenting her sewing and pyrex.
This is our newest Bagette, Lori. We met her last December at an event in downtown Denver. She is lovely, sweet and enjoys fabric as much as the rest of us. Welcome Lori!
Not pictured is Liz, we missed her at the last meeting. More on Bagette Liz soon! Thanks ladies for helping to get Green Bag Lady Colorado off and running. You are all amazing! Teresa
