An Open Letter to Donald Trump

Source
Mr. Trump,

As you know, each president recites the following oath:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the
office of the President of the United States, and will to the best
of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of
                       the United States."

The eyes of our country will be on you as you recite those words on January 20, 2017. Those eyes will be brimming with hope, no matter who we voted for. With those words comes great obligation and honor.  An enormous yoke of responsibility will soon be placed on your shoulders for the representation and well being of 318+ million people. Wow. I don't envy you. I have an immense respect for the office of President of the United States as well as a deep love for our country and those of us fortunate enough to live here.

Guess what? We both want America to be great! Can you imagine what 318+ million motivated people can do if we work together, help and respect each other, resolve our differences, protect resources for future generations, and do what's best? I can, and it's amazing.

Sincerely,
