I told you back in this post that I was working on another dresser project using Annie Sloan chalk paint in her red color called Emperor's Silk. It's finished! Here are the before shots.
Here is the finished product! I really love how is looks in my entry way.
Those drawer handles are the reason I bought this off Craigslist in the first place. To say I adore them is an understatement!
Sooooo pretty! Carved wood, yum!
The mirror isn't too shabby either.
These little drawers on the top are really sweet but were missing pulls. I thought it might be hard to find ones to cover the HUGE holes.
But, Home Depot to the rescue. I brought one of the drawers with me to make sure the back of the knob would cover the holes.
Hubby was with me and ran around and found washers to put behind the holes to the knob would stay in place. Knobs were about $4/piece and washers were 14 cents. Score!I'm so happy with my new dresser! Hazaaah! Teresa

Great job, Teresa! This looks beautiful. Sounds like A Lot of work. . .
Thanks Sharron and April! :)
Not too bad Jan, esp with only one coat. It's worth it! :)
It really turned out nice. Those really were some big holes you had to cover on the drawers. Love the nobs that you found!
Thanks Tami!
I just finished two pieces with annie sloan - no wonder we are related!!!
Oh Jennifer, I want to see what you painted!
this is wonderful, I really like the worn look you created
Thanks Lori, you are always so sweet!
Nice work!! What a neat find with those carved handles. I like how you finished it and the knob find at HD fits right in.
Thanks Judy. It only took me a few minutes to find the knob, I was surprised at how easy it was!
Oh, I'm crazy about Annie Sloan paint! Love the piece you refinished. My house is all upcycled furniture too. Hate buying new furniture, as the quality just isn't the same as with older stuff.
Aw, thank you for all your kind words Sonja, it helps to start with beautiful old furniture!
