This week I have been working on the next freebie in conjunction with Sew Mama Sew, here is a sneak peek…
And, I recovered a bench. Went from this (as you can tell I started to paint it a while back but didn't like it)…
To this! I decided to leave it the dark brown and just put fabric on the top with some padding. I used extra quilt batting that I had lying around and a chunk of cool embroidered fabric that I also had on hand…
I love how it turned out. It fits perfectly in a nook in my upstairs hallway. It's where the girls plug in their phones and they sometimes hang out there. It's a perfect sitting spot.I simply unscrewed the lid of the storage bench from the base and used a staple gun for the upholstery. Easy peasy.
Of course, I also serged some handles and some bags and I get to meet with my Bagettes this Sunday. What are you up to?

Oooooooo! Love the bench!
Thanks April, it was such a fun easy project that I put off for forever because I was lazy about painting it. I'm so happy with it! :)
Really it is a great idea
