This is the story of my life right now. Sewing, sewing, sewing! Hmmmm. 20 years ago I
never would have thought I would sew this much. Ever. I guess this is what happens when people find out you are good with a needle and thread. These are garters. Seven to be exact that I am making for an upcoming wedding. They are made out of the mother's and grandmother's wedding dresses. It's such a sweet project that I am very much enjoying. I'm contemplating sewing a small felt blue bird to the back of the bride's garter. When
my mom got married, the florist attached a small glass bluebird into her bouquet. Until she passed away, she gave a
"bluebird of happiness" to those getting married. Such a sweet symbol that every bride should receive. Don't you think? Hugs from the trenches--Teresa

How wonderful and lovely. I know what you mean about others knowing we can sew. LOL. Although I do admit, I so thoroughly enjoy helping others. A big high for me. LOL
This is wonderful, GBL! What a nice thing for you to make for people.
Yes, thanks Lori! It is fun!
