One last word about my trip to Germany and Initiative Handarbeit. The booth was amazing! Comprised of a sitting area, great photos and samples of the bags. The bags they made are a little different than the Green Bag Lady pattern. Their sewing pattern is here. Crochet pattern here. Knitting pattern here. I love that they included yarn patterns as well as a fabric one. It doesn't matter what kind of bag you use to substitute paper/plastic. Any kind is wonderful! Each of the bags they gave away had lovely printed materials with the website information, links to the patterns and some background information about Green Bag Lady.
