The young woman on the right is Alison Ryan, a 14 year old who organized her troop into a virtual assembly line to measure, cut, stitch, press, and label 50 bags for the residents of a local assisted living facility. The bags were filled with various personal care items collected by the scouts. In addition 10 more bags were donated to the Maxwell Memorial Library for giving away to patrons (those bags are in the photo). The troop has committed to sewing more bags for the library in the future. Alison is a force to be reckoned with and I am proud to know her.
