UPDATE: Washington DC Chapter

What can I say about Bagette Barbara? She's amazing. She began as a Bagette in NASHVILLE in 2010 after she saw a clip on TV about us making bags to benefit Flood Relief after the disaster that year. Then, she moved to COLORADO in 2012 before I did. After I moved here, she joined me in getting the Denver chapter going. Then, in 2015, she moved to Washington State and started a chapter there! Now, in 2020, she has moved to the Washington DC area and initiated yet another chapter. Barbara wins the award for MOST CHAPTERS hands down. Thanks Barbara for all your hard work and spreading the great fabric word around the country! XOXO--Teresa
PS: Welcome Bagette Eveline!

Hi Teresa.

Bagette Eveline and I finally met! Yeah! Thank you and Bagette Dad again for introducing us. We had a lovely morning cutting fabric, chatting, and going out to lunch. I rode the Washington Metro, and Eveline picked me up at the train station in Virginia. We look forward to our next meeting at her home and also plan a get together in Washington, DC to visit the US Botanic Garden's upcoming orchid show.

Here are some photos from our day which you may post on your GBL blog.

Cheers!

Bagette Barbara

Hello!
I am one of the organizers of the All-Russian contest "Eco-bag". The relevance of environmental issues in the world is apparent. That is why this action had such popularity and public resonance last year.
Every year, as partners of the contest, we attract large and significant organizations that are not indifferent to issues of environmental tolerance and harmonious interaction with the outside world.
We would like to invite you to become a partner in our Third All-Russian contest "Eco-bag".
Substantial support in organizing the competition would be to provide prizes to the winners of the project.
Could we count on your participation?
Thank you in advance!

Respectfully yours,
Artur Batigyan,
Head of Information Sector
Library and Information Center named after A.I. Herzen

Hello Bagette Barbara! You sure have a way of getting around. I'm still here in Denver helping the Green Bag Lady herself. Glad you have found someone to sew and laugh with!
