UPDATE: Twin Cities, MN Chapter

This. All of this! Please meet Bagette Barb who graciously took over the Twin Cities, MN chapter after Bagette Dad passed away. She is a wonderful human and clearly knows how to make gorgeous bags! Thanks Bagette Barb, you are a gem! XOXO--Teresa

Dear Teresa,

Here are a couple photos from us:
- One photo shows bags made from donations from the upholstery company. We also received two member grants from Thrivent Financial to purchase a serger and more material.
- Dan and Ruby Heiden are new Green Bag Lady volunteers who cut material for us. Dan made patterns that Ruby then traces to speed the cutting process for them. Dan is critically ill with a form of blood cancer and has endured about 150 blood transfusions since his diagnosis. Even during a very difficult season in their lives, the Heidens are making a very meaningful mark on the world through Green Bag Lady!

Other items to note:
- I have another new volunteer who has also used Thrivent funds to purchase fabric for bags, which she has donated to a church food shelf.
- I am also pursuing opportunities to distribute bags through local food shelves, as well as a gift store who may use them as an Earth Day promotion.
- Since my becoming the chapter leader last summer, we have made and distributed about 60 bags, and momentum is building!

Thanks,
Bagette Barb
