Ship's Log Day 6 March 10, 2011

It was another quiet day to start out with here on the Sea Dragon. We had a great night's sleep and got going around 8. Most everyone went on shore for a hike. It is like walking on moss covered sponge and you have to be careful not to fall into a hole in the ground. It is beautiful and quite strange to think that it is possible that your foot fall is in a place where no other person has walked. We climbed up one side of the large hill to look out on spectacular scenery on the other. It is so beautiful and untouched here.

I have been photographing quite a bit, whenever weather permits. I wish I could share all my favorites with you at this time, but will as soon as I can!

After the hike, I got to take a hot shower and made cookies for the second day in a row. ALL of the ones from yesterday are already gone! This time I made about 12 dozen (yup) and have hidden about 1/2 of them to pull out later. Don't tell! We had a nice dinner of fajitas and are now underway again. The winds decreased significantly and we left our cozy cove about 8pm. My team is on watch until mignight. I need to go do the log!

Have a great Friday! Teresa
