Russia Bags!

Good afternoon.
I hasten to inform you that I have received your lovely handbags. I liked them very much. On the first day after the receipt, I went with them for shopping. I absolutely love it, they are roomy and does not
take up much space. Now, they are always with me. I think that still need to look at your site more bags, relatives and friends also interested in fabric bags. I proved to them that no hazardous waste, we become better to live on our beloved planet Earth.

Thank you for your hard work.
Have a nice day and prosperity in your work.

Sincerely Anastasia Shipota

At Lowes. Gotta love a flower that's as big as Little Man's head!
I'd like to see this.

Bought these and love them!

Little Man would love these for his fish, I would love them for their beauty.

Little Girl loves mermaids, we need to watch this! Such a throw back!

Summer project with the kiddos.

Love the first two. Could spend lots of time there!

To try!

Whew, busy day and didn't get this posted. Went to visit the Colorado College of Mines with Big Girl this morning. It's very cool and she loved it. I'm happy it's only 20 minutes from home! It's so bazaar that I only have one more year with her at home. Sigh. When I started this blog she was so bitty! Off to get some sewing done. Have a great weekend. Teresa

Workday Wednesday

I didn't get as much sewing done as I would have liked this past week. Last few days of school and tennis matches monopolized my time. Speaking of tennis…
How cute are these? Remember I showed you the beginnings of them last week?

I still need to get more key rings to put on all of them. They turned out so cute and fun. I'll get some in my etsy shop soon. Tell me what you have going on in your world! Teresa

Last Friday!

Last Friday I had the privilege of speaking to 4 different classes at a local elementary school. The kids were awesome and delightful and surprised me with their knowledge of plastic and even GMOs…
They made some super cute bags by coloring on Green Bag Lady bags that I brought to share…

 Darling!

They were all so fun! Thanks Welchester Elementary for letting me take part in a fun day! Teresa

This is why…

JONATHAN BIRD VIA GETTY IMAGES
Lemon shark is pictured with plastic bag caught around its gills in the Bahamas.
This is why we are Green Bag Lady. UGH. This makes me cringe and sigh. Teresa

Send Me Photos!!!

Send me photos of you and your bag(s)!!! I would love to see them and post them here on the blog. These are some of my absolute favs from over the years…

Have a great day! Teresa

To keep with the theme from last week, here are the Nashville Bagettes 3 years ago right before I moved here. Miss you guys! Glad I got to see most of you the last time I was in Nashville.
Way to go Levis.

This is pretty great.

Healthy + yummy!

Awesome!

Very cool DIY.

Yum.

And MORE yum.

What do you have on your calendar? I'm speaking to 4 classes at an elementary school today. About bags, of course. They will all get solid color bags to draw on. I love doing this with kids. They make the cutest bags! I'll take some pics to share. I'm planning on spending some quality time in my sewing room too. Have a good one! XOXO--Teresa

Workday Wednesday

Bagette Sherry brought me these flowers on Sunday from her yard. I've enjoyed looking at them all week…
I'm making something fun with these supplies, can you guess what it is? I'll show you soon.
Reloading the shop with some tennis pouches as they are nearly gone.
And, finished up a special etsy order of 10 mermaid pouches. Love this fabric, so cute!
I did add some more of these snack bags to the etsy shop if you are in need of a plastic alternative. I've also been doing lots of pant hemming this week. Apparently, it's that time of year when everyone has decided their pants are simply too long! Teresa

Cuteness for Today

Plastic in the Ocean

Source
Source
I was chatting with a friend this past weekend and the subject of plastic in the ocean came up. She knew nothing about it. What? I was shocked. I thought it was was public knowledge that there were huge gyres of plastic floating around in our seas. No? If you don't know much about this, it's true. There are a lot of great sources to educate yourself on this topic:

NY Times

The Washington Post

National Geographic

Please don't buy bottled water (450 years!) and reduce the plastics you do buy. Be in the know. Teresa

May 13, 2013. Exactly 3 years ago. Look at Little Man, he's so little! This is about 6 weeks before we moved to Colorado. Where does the time go??
These are very cool.

Lovely.

Yum.

I can't even

To try.

Many of these are genius.

Here we go! Another weekend. We have some guests coming into town and I'm meeting with my Bagettes on Sunday, you?

Please keep Bagette April in your thoughts and prayers. She is going through a rough time. Let's send her as much positive energy from around the globe as possible. Thanks--Teresa

Workday Wednesday

Well, hello there. How are you? Anyone else feel like time has been speeding up? Maybe it's my own little space/time continuum?? I can't believe it's Thursday already. I've still been working on a lot of alterations with breaks for fun things like parties and tennis. We got to spend Mother's Day at Bagette Sheila's house and even though it's been 10 years (whoa) since my own mother passed away, I got to pretend that Sheila's cute mom belonged to me! Isn't she darling??
I finished a HUGE order from my etsy shop. 13 tennis pouches and 13 tennis towels. They will be gifts for a high school senior tennis team. Cute!
Finally, zipped some bags through the serger. This always feels good and so productive. The bottom 1/2 of the stack contains 60 solid colored bags. I'm going to be speaking at an elementary school next Friday and the kids will be decorating bags. Love doing that.
And you? How is your life? Are you in the same speedy space/time continuum as me?? Teresa

bbagz!!!

Check these out! You know I love anything bag related and these replacements for plastic zip bags are incredible! Stay tuned on more about these in the future. In the meantime, you can go back this awesome campaign HERE. Do it. Teresa

I'm here!

Although it may seem I have fallen off the planet, I'm still here! Big Girl and I got back from Nashville Monday night and I've been trying to dig out from under a pile of stuff ever since. We had a great time, saw great people and attended great events!

On Saturday morning I was driving from East Nashville to Southwest Nashville and kept running into the Music City Marathon at every turn. Arg. Took me forever to get to Bagette Ann's house…
Finally got there. I have forgotten how beautiful the flowering bushes are in the spring!
The Nashville Bagettes got an industrial serger that is AWESOME! I got to zip a bag through it. Amazing.
My sweet sweet Godchild after her First Communion on Sunday. I gave her a necklace, a little jewelry box and an angel bear. My mother gave angel bears to all her grandkids for their First Communions…
Former co-workers at a party Sunday night. Bagette Jessica is in the center…
The party was for my former Dean from Belmont University who is retiring after 35 years! I'm so glad I could be at the dinner.
Monday morning Big Girl and I visiting Vanderbilt University and Belmont University. She liked them both. We didn't get to tour campus due to a torrential downpour. Bummer.
We were able to sneak in lunch and coffee at Bongo Java though. Brings back great memories.
So fun! Great to see everyone. I need to stay for more time the next visit! Teresa
