Are you an Elf on a Shelfer? I'm not. My kids were a bit too old when the whole trend started. And, let's be honest here, I didn't need one more thing to keep track of at this time of year. December is always a whirlwind. Big Girl's birthday is the 15th, then Christmas, New Years and Little Girl was born on Jan 6th. Busy, busy. All that being said, I'm not immune to the antics and creativity of people who partake in the whole Elf on a Shelf thing. It's cute and I'm sure the kiddos love it.
My cousin called the other day to tell me he had bought Evie (in the dress I made here) a girl Elf on The shelf and that he wanted clothes for it. I guess they sell them for $10/outfit. I told him I would happily make simple clothes, like skirts and a sleeping bag. I didn't have time for pants and shirts. :)
So, here is Evie's Elf on a Shelf complete with sleeping bag, pillow and 6 skirts and one dress…
I basically took scraps of ribbon and trim and made all the skirts. Easy peasy.Of course, the Elf on a Shelf needed its own Green Bag Lady bag, no?? Of course it did.
Do you partake in the Elf? Do tell and if you have links to your antics, I would love to see! Teresa
