I'm done wrapping presents. It's easy using fabric bags. Plop the gift in, tie the ribbon, done! I've been using the same bags since 2009. They are in great shape, as you can imagine, only in use once a year and all. I talked last year about putting gifts in boxes, then in bags. This year I didn't even bother with boxes, why?? I got even smarter this year…
Instead of tying tags on to the gifts with names, I used 5 difference colors of clothespins. Each family member was assigned a color. BUT, here is the clincher, no one knows what their color is until Christmas Day! Ha! And, I will switch the colors from year to year.
Little Girl even told me she hasn't bothered to look through the gifts because she has no idea which ones are hers. Hee hee.
The gifts with drawings on them are called "face presents" it's something my mom used to do. She would wrap up one gift to open on Christmas Eve and attach a drawing of that person to the gift. We had to figure out who was who. It's pretty easy for my 5. I even used the same drawings as last year since we haven't changed much. :)
What do you think of my clothes pins? I'm thrilled with this system. It's makes the whole wrapping process even easier and reusable! YAY! It would be super simple to paint or color your own clothespins. I happened to find mine last year at Michaels for a steal. I think they were 75% off after Christmas. These would be great too. You could assign more than one color per person for even more confusion. We are decorating cookies tomorrow! Squeeee! Teresa

Thanks CrochetnQuilt! Merry Christmas to you and yours too! :)
And to you Maria! XOXO
Using clothespins is genius! One idea I have used to make fancy clothespins is to purchase plain wooden ones and cover with washi (paper)tape.
Thanks Cathie, yes LOVE that idea too!!!!
