Onion Bags!

Bagette Barbara rescued these great onion bags headed for the trash bin at her local farmers market. She thought we could do something with them. So smart, Barbara!
I quickly turned one into a bag and gave it back to her. These held 50 lbs of onions so they are very sturdy and ready to haul almost anything! I'm thinking they would be great pool bags with the mesh OR great beach clean up bags. I may need to send these to Danielle or Sara!
I finished the others over the weekend. They are so so so easy. If you are at the farmers market, grab some and turn them into great bags.
I love all the different, funky labels! Thanks Barbara, you are the best! Teresa

I've been looking everywhere for info about how to dispose of these. With all the little holes, they would be so harmful to birds and other small animals. I like the beach bag idea best - easy for sand to sift out. Smaller bags like this can be used to hold soap scraps, and then you have a nifty scraper/scrubber.

What a great re-use idea! I'm wondering if these could be cut into smaller pieces, and sewn into bags to put my produce into.
